See the results(01) The plain answer
When another website links to yours, Google reads it as a vote of confidence. The business above you on Google usually has more of those votes, from better sites. Link building services are the work of getting real, relevant websites to link to yours, so Google trusts you enough to rank you higher.
A few links from sites your customers actually read count for far more than a thousand from directories nobody visits. Every link is built by hand: no bots, no link farms, no shortcuts that get a site penalised.
Link building is one part of our SEO services, alongside on-page SEO, technical SEO and content. It’s the biggest piece of off-page SEO: everything other sites say about you.
Yes. Links from trusted sites are still one of the main ways Google decides which business deserves to rank first. What changed is which links count: Google ignores or penalises bought, automated and junk links, so the work now is earning links from real sites with real readers. The client results just below show what that looks like.
The same links also help AI tools like ChatGPT name your business: see the numbers below.
What we build, and what we won’t
Editorial link on a relevant site
A real page, in your industry or your city, with real readers.
Guest article we write
Original content placed where your customers read.
Recovered broken link
A dead link that should point to you, fixed to point to you.
Private blog networks
Sites built only to sell links. Google hunts them.
Link farms and bulk directories
Hundreds of links, zero readers.
Automated or bot outreach
Spam in someone else’s inbox, with your name on it.
You can see every link we build, with the before-and-after numbers.

Real link reports and real Google searches from client campaigns. A referring domain is a different website linking to you. The strength score, out of 100, rates how strong those links are.
The number that matters most: how many different, real websites link to you. Strongest growth first.

Book my free strategy call(03) What we do
Your account manager explains each step before we take it, in plain words. Every month covers these ten parts.
01
We decide which pages should rank for which searches, so every link points somewhere that makes you money. More on on-page SEO.
02
We pull your competitors’ links and sort the sites by relevance and by whether they would link to you too.
03
A check of every link already pointing at you. Harmful ones get a removal request to the site owner, and we ask Google to ignore them when that fails.
04
Webmasters, bloggers, publishers, journalists and industry people. Real emails, real relationships, no templates blasted at a list.
05
Guest articles and content we write ourselves, placed on sites with an audience that fits yours. More on how we write content.
06
Links that point to dead pages or mention you without a link get fixed to point at the right page.
07
For a business that serves a town or a region: local news, chambers of commerce, sponsorships, suppliers and community groups that already know you. More on local SEO services.
08
Your business name, address and phone number, the same on every directory and listing that matters in your trade, so Google can trust where you are. More on Google Business Profile work.
09
Links inside your own site tell Google which pages matter most. We point them at the pages that should rank, so the links you earn lift the whole site. More on technical SEO.
10
You can see every link we built, with the page it sits on and the before-and-after numbers, so you can open each one and check it yourself.
Before we go after any link, it has to pass four questions.
It has real readers and is written for people, not built to sell links.
Your trade, your customers or your town. A plumber gains more from a local news site than from a fashion blog.
A link sitting in a useful paragraph gets read. One buried in a list of a hundred doesn’t.
Links on pages that stay up keep counting. We check every one is still live each month.
(04) Local businesses
A business that serves one town or a few needs different links from a national brand. The best ones come from places your customers already know.
A link from a website in your town or your trade: the local paper, the chamber of commerce, a team you sponsor, a supplier who lists you as a stockist. These sites have readers near you, so Google treats the link as proof that real people in your area know your business.
They help. Google ranks the Maps list on three things: how well you match the search, how close you are, and how well known you are. Links from local sites are one of the signals for that last part, alongside your listings, your reviews and what your own website says. So we build the links together with the rest of local SEO services and Google Maps work, not on their own.
Most of these links you can’t buy: you earn them by being part of the town. Our job is finding the ones you already deserve and asking for them. See the cities we work in.
Where local links come from
Local news
A story about your business, a new location or a community project.
Chamber of commerce
Member pages that list you with a link.
Sponsorships
The youth team, the charity run, the school fundraiser.
Suppliers and partners
Brands you stock and trades you work with.
Trade associations
Member directories in your industry.
Business listings
The directories that matter in your town and trade, all matching.
All pointing at your business, so Google can see the town knows you.
(05) AI search
The links and mentions that help you rank on Google also help ChatGPT and Google’s AI Overviews find you and name you. The same work now pays off in more places.
They help. AI tools build their answers from pages they find and trust, and the sites they lean on are the ones other sites link to and talk about. When trusted sites mention you, AI tools have more places to learn who you are and what you do.
Gedi Route Cars sells used cars in Brampton, Ontario. Between November 5, 2025 and March 2, 2026 the number of websites linking to it went from 25 to 279. In the same two readings, the number of times ChatGPT pointed people to its website went from 8 to 43.

(06) Cost
Google Maps starts at $1,497 a month. Google rankings start at $2,697 a month. Both go up for multiple locations, multiple websites and complexity.

a month. Higher for multiple locations, websites and complexity.

Yes. Link building by a dedicated team is part of every SEO plan, so there’s no separate price per link. Start with Google Maps or the normal Google results, or run both. AI answers come with every plan.
A link on its own rarely moves a ranking. It works when it points at a page that deserves to rank, on a site Google can read well. So links come with the rest of the work, not as a shopping list.
More locations, more websites and more competitive searches take more work each month. A business with several offices counts as multiple locations. More on how our SEO pricing works.
Look past the monthly number at five things: how long the contract runs, what is promised in writing, whether you can see every link they built, where the links come from, and whether they can show you a client whose links and rankings grew. Ours: no long-term contracts, two guarantees, and every link we built shown to you with the before-and-after numbers.
(07) Earned or bought
Google’s spam rules say paying for a link so you rank higher is link spam. Paying for an ad or a sponsored mention is fine, as long as the link is labelled as paid. The difference decides whether a link helps you or hurts you.

What Google says

Does it help you rank?
Not directly. It can bring readers and get you noticed
Does it last?
For as long as you pay
Paying for a sponsored spot, an ad or a directory listing is fine when the link is marked as paid in the page’s code. Google allows that. What breaks the rules is paying for a link that is dressed up as a normal recommendation.
Google’s own words: sites that break its rules may rank lower or not appear in results at all. Google finds them with automatic checks and, when needed, a person reviewing the site.
Open the page it sits on. A bought link often sits on a site full of unrelated articles, each with a link to a different business, and few real readers. You can see every link we build, with the before-and-after numbers, so you can check each one.
(08) How long
Each link starts to count once Google reads the page it sits on, which can take days or weeks. Here are three real readings from our clients.
Websites linking in, first reading to second

119 → 295 websites linking in. July 9 to August 15, 2026.

Links work together with the rest of the plan: the pages they point at, how fast your site loads and what it says. That’s why both of our guarantees are about results, not link counts.
Day 60
Page one in 60 days, or we work free.
Both guarantees, in full, are in our guarantees below.
A link on a busy news site gets read by Google quickly. One on a small local page can wait weeks for Google to come back. You can see every link we build, with the before-and-after numbers, and open each one yourself while Google catches up.
Two guarantees, in writing.
Guarantee 01
20days
If you don’t see visible improvement in your key metrics within the first 20 days, we refund $200 on top of returning your payment for that period.
What we measure: your traffic, what that traffic is worth, how much authority your site and its pages carry, and how many other sites link to you, against the day we start.
Guarantee 02
60days
If your qualifying keywords aren’t on the first page of Google within 60 days, we keep working for free until they are.
What counts: at least one high-value search for your business on page one of Google.
No long-term contracts. Results keep you here. Paperwork doesn't.
(09) Before you sign
Ask every company you talk to these five questions, us included. Here’s how we answer them.
Ask this
Can you show me the links you built for a client?
How we answer
Yes. The before and after reports for four clients are in our results above, with the dates, and each client can see every link we built, with the before-and-after numbers.
Ask this
Where do the links come from?
How we answer
Real sites in your trade or your town, earned by hand. No private blog networks, no link farms, no hidden paid links.
Ask this
What happens if it doesn’t work?
How we answer

How we answer
There isn’t a long one. It’s month to month.

What does it cost?
How we answer
Link building is inside every SEO plan, at the prices in the cost section above.
The ones that earn links on real sites your customers read, show you every link they built, and tie the work to rankings you can check yourself. Ask for a search they moved a client up for, then type it into Google.
Finds the sites that should link to you, writes to the people who run them, writes the article or offers the fix that earns the link, and checks every month that each link is still live. On our team, that work is done by a dedicated link building team inside your SEO plan.
Anyone selling a set number of links for a set price, links from sites with no readers, private blog networks, and packages that won’t show you where each link sits. Those links get ignored or get a site pushed down.
A marketplace sells links one by one, often from sites built to sell them. A freelancer can do good outreach but rarely the rest of the work. An agency ties links to the pages, the fixes and the content that make them count, with one party answerable for rankings.
Our longer guide to choosing an SEO agency covers the same ground for any SEO work.

A link on another website that points to yours. Google counts each one from a trusted, relevant site as a vote for your business.
The shady kind is. Paid link schemes, private blog networks and link farms can get a site pushed down or dropped from Google. We only build links by hand, on real sites, using methods Google allows.
There isn’t a set number. It depends on how many trusted sites link to the businesses above you for the searches you want. We pull their links on the strategy call and show you the gap.
Quality. A handful of links from relevant sites with real readers beats hundreds from directories nobody visits.

A score from 0 to 100 that SEO tools give a website, based on the sites linking to it. Google doesn’t use it, but it’s a quick way to compare your site with a competitor’s. Our results above show it next to the number of linking sites.
Some. A nofollow link tells Google not to count it as a vote, but it can still bring visitors and get your name in front of people who later link to you properly. We don’t count them as the main work.
The right few do. Your listing on the directories that matter in your trade and town helps Google confirm who and where you are. Hundreds of bulk directory links don’t.
Writing a useful article for another website in your trade, with a link back to yours. We write the article ourselves and only place it where your customers read.
Finding links to your site that are broken, or mentions of your business with no link, and asking the site owner to fix them. It’s often the quickest win, because the site already wants to mention you.
Yes. Links to your product and category pages help them rank, and they lift the whole store. More on SEO for online stores and Shopify SEO.
Yes. We work with businesses across the United States and Canada. The results on this page come from businesses in both countries, from Brampton, Ontario to Margate City, New Jersey.
Some, yes: your chamber of commerce, the suppliers who list you, a sponsorship in your town. What’s hard to do alone is the steady monthly outreach and checking which links still count. That’s the part we take off your plate.
We check every link each month. If one goes, we ask the site owner why and either get it back or replace it with a link from another site.
It’s 30 minutes on Google Meet. We pull your competitors’ links live, show you the sites that link to them and not to you, and you leave with a road map that’s yours to keep.
