01
What are SEO services?
+
SEO services are the work that gets your website shown higher on Google when people search for what you sell. That covers choosing the searches that bring paying customers, building and improving the pages that answer them, fixing technical problems that stop Google reading your site, and earning links from other trusted websites. The same work also helps your business show up on Google Maps and in AI answers.
02
What are professional SEO services?
+
Professional SEO services are SEO done for you by a team that does it every day, instead of by you or whoever built your website. The team picks the searches your buyers use, improves the pages that should show for them, fixes the problems behind the scenes that stop Google reading your site, earns links from other trusted websites, and checks where you rank for every search it works on. With us that covers Google search, Google Maps and AI answers, for local businesses, national brands and online stores.
03
What is SEO for?
+
SEO is for getting found by people who are already searching for what you sell. When your website shows near the top of Google, on Google Maps and in AI answers, those people call you instead of the business above you. Meaning: more calls and enquiries from customers who were already looking, without paying for every click.
04
How much do SEO services cost?
+
Google Maps starts at $1,497 a month. Google rankings start at $2,697 a month. Both go up for multiple locations, multiple websites and complexity. Your exact number depends on your market and how strong the sites above you are, and you get it on the strategy call.
05
How much does an SEO consultant cost?
+
It depends on how they charge: by the hour, by the project or on a monthly retainer. Our blog guide, How much does an SEO consultant cost?, lays out 2026 rates in the US and Canada. If you'd rather hand the whole job to a team, our prices are the same as above: Google Maps starts at $1,497 a month. Google rankings start at $2,697 a month. Both go up for multiple locations, multiple websites and complexity.
06
How much does local SEO cost for a small business?
+
Google Maps starts at $1,497 a month. Google rankings start at $2,697 a month. Both go up for multiple locations, multiple websites and complexity. Many local businesses start with Google Maps, the box of businesses Google shows for searches near you, and add Google rankings after. AI answers come with every plan.
07
Is SEO worth it?
+
SEO is worth it when it ranks you for searches that bring buyers and you can check it every month: your rankings, your visits from Google and the calls that come in. We only work with businesses already doing $20,000 a month or more, with enough trade behind them to turn more calls into more work.
08
Is it worth paying for SEO services?
+
It's worth it when your business already has the trade to handle more customers, and the team you hire puts its promises in writing. A team that does this every day starts on the work in the first weeks, without months of learning on your own time. We work with businesses already doing $20,000 a month or more. Page one in 60 days, or we work free. Both promises are set out in full in our SEO guarantees.
09
What's included in your SEO services?
+
Keyword research, on-page SEO, new and improved pages, technical fixes, link building by a dedicated team, Google Business Profile work where Maps matters, and AI answers. Start with Google Maps or the normal Google results, or run both. AI answers come with every plan. Monthly report by email: rankings, Analytics and the work done.
10
What types of SEO are there?
+
The main types are on-page SEO (the words and layout of each page), technical SEO (the parts of your site Google reads behind the scenes, like speed and how your pages link together), off-page SEO (links and mentions from other websites), local SEO (Google Maps and searches near you) and AI SEO (getting named in AI answers like ChatGPT and Google's AI Overviews). National and ecommerce SEO use the same types for businesses that sell across the country or online. Most businesses need a mix, and we cover all of them.
11
How long does SEO take?
+
We put two guarantees in writing. If you don't see visible improvement in your key metrics within the first 20 days, we refund $200 on top of returning your payment for that period. If your qualifying keywords aren't on the first page of Google within 60 days, we keep working for free until they are.
12
How do I know if my SEO is working?
+
Check four things: where you rank for each search we target, how many visitors arrive from Google in your own Analytics, how many calls and forms come in from customers who found you on Google, and what you see when you search your main service on your phone.
13
What is the 80/20 rule in SEO?
+
It's the idea that a small share of the work brings most of the results. Applied to your website: find the handful of searches and pages that bring most of your calls, and put the effort there first. So we start with the searches closest to a sale, like your main service in your main town, and the pages sitting just off page one. The rest of the work builds out from them.
14
Is SEO better than paid ads?
+
They do different jobs. A paid ad shows the moment you pay and stops when you stop. A page-one ranking keeps bringing visitors every day it holds, with no charge per click. For Purple Flare Wraps in Las Vegas, Google search was the best converting channel, paid ads included, with 78 conversions in one month.
15
Should I pay for SEO services or do SEO in-house?
+
An in-house hire gives you one person. An SEO agency gives you a team: strategy, writing, technical fixes and a dedicated link-building team, plus the paid research tools. You also get one party accountable for rankings, with guarantees in writing.
16
Can I do SEO myself?
+
Some of it. Fill in your Google Business Profile in full, give each service its own page, and ask happy customers for reviews. The keyword research, technical fixes and link building take time and paid tools most owners don't have.
17
How do I choose who does my SEO?
+
Ask three things. Which searches will you rank me for, and why those? What will you do each month? What happens if it doesn't work? A good SEO company answers all three in plain words. We put our answers in writing: a list of target searches, a monthly list of completed work, and two guarantees.
18
Can you guarantee a #1 ranking?
+
We don't promise a set position, because Google decides the order. What we put in writing: if you don't see visible improvement in your key metrics within the first 20 days, we refund $200 on top of returning your payment for that period. If your qualifying keywords aren't on the first page of Google within 60 days, we keep working for free until they are.
19
Do you do national and ecommerce SEO?
+
Yes. We rank online stores and national brands for searches with no city in them. Luxury Fire is #1 for "freestanding gas fireplace", with 7 of 10 tracked product searches in the top 3 and all 10 on page one. CarSoup moved from #5 to #1 for "used cars for sale in minnesota".
20
Do you work with businesses in Canada and the US?
+
Yes. We have spent 17 years ranking established businesses across Canada and the US, from local service firms to national online stores. Google works the same way in both countries. What changes is the competition in your market, and we plan around it.
21
Do your SEO services cover AI search like ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews?
+
Yes. AI tools lean on the same things Google rewards: clear pages that answer the question, a business other trusted sites mention, and a website that is easy to read. We build for Google first and shape the same pages so AI answers can quote and name your business. It is an extra place to be found, on top of your Google rankings.
22
Do I need local SEO, organic SEO, or both?
+
If customers find you on Google Maps, you want both. Local SEO gets you into the map box, organic SEO gets your website into the results under it. Online stores and national businesses usually need organic SEO alone.
23
Do I need ongoing SEO or a one-time fix?
+
A one-time fix helps when one thing is broken, like a slow site or a website move that lost rankings. An SEO audit finds it. Rankings need ongoing work, because the businesses below you keep trying to get above you and Google changes its rules several times a year.
24
Can you move my website without losing rankings?
+
Yes, when the move is planned before launch. A new design, platform or domain can wipe out rankings if old page addresses disappear. We forward every old address to its new one, carry over what Google already trusts, and watch rankings and traffic after go-live.
25
Do you use shortcuts?
+
No. White-hat only. The shortcuts work for a few months and then a Google update wipes them out, along with your rankings.
26
What will I see in the reports?
+
Monthly report by email: rankings, Analytics and the work done. That's your Google Analytics data, where you rank for each keyword we target, and a list of the work we did that month, in plain language. You also get our app: see it all live, any time, and ask its AI agent for anything you want to know.
27
Am I locked into a long contract?
+
No. There are no long-term contracts. Results keep you here, not paperwork.
